Hi

I'm looking for a H Bridge Circuit that use 1 input control line only.
When the input = 0 then the motor move forward, when input = 1 (=VCC) then it move reverse.

Thank you.

Re: H Bridge Circuit

Have a look at the H-Bridge circuit below; adding an inverter gate (or one NPN transistor) between inputs 1 and 2 will reduce the number of control inputs to just one, and will allow to drive the motor forward and reverse ..
However, you will not be able to STOP it ..

Re: H Bridge Circuit

Please tell how I can add the npn transistor.

Re: H Bridge Circuit

- Connect left side of R1 to Input1;
- Connect Input 2 to +Vcc;
- Connect collector of this NPN to the Base of Input2 transistor ..

IanP

Re: H Bridge Circuit

Thank you for your help.

If I use this circuit to control 12V 1A motor only,
Can I change the mosfet to other power transistor ?
Mosfet is expensive here.

Re: H Bridge Circuit

U can use medium power BJT's like TIP41C or something like this...

If u choice BJT u need a complementary pair of transistors (2 NPN and 2 PNP)

or a special configuration for the upper BJT (for 4 NPN's)...

But MOSFET's are specially designer for switching applicattions like H-Bridge...

Re: H Bridge Circuit

Hi

For 12V 1A motor you may use L298 by ST. The bidirection motor control setup is shown in the datasheet (Page 6). It has separate logic supply and PS making it easy to interface to µC.

The H-bridge circuit by IanP is nice if you want to make one yourself.

If you donot have any constraint you may use a relay to reverse the motor since your current is small. It all depends on your aplication.

Thanks

Re: H Bridge Circuit

Wich is the best motor control IC to use with a 12V dc motor, In=0.23A Iblock=1.3A, it must support PWM bidirectional and breake.

Thanks

Re: H Bridge Circuit

I have seen a good circuit for L298 with over current protection, pls refer to www.ere.co.th
