Google for Schaer+ programmer (LPT type), and WinPic800.

Once you have the hardware built, ask and I will give you the tip for settings in the software. I've programmed PIC12Fs, PIC16Fs, PIC18Fs, and dsPICs with that combination.

Cheers,

Hi to all of you,

Have anyone of you had built a programmer designed by David Tait?
The Schaer+ programmer I mentioned above is a variant of David Tait's programmer. So, the answer is yes.

Cheers,
