i am doing my final year projects from two months,i joined forums for my problems but i cannot get any appropriate sollutions.is there any professional who can able to solve my problem...

problem descripion

my project is automatic power factor improvement using PIC , first of all i need to detect zero crosings of voltage and load current to measure power factor.problem is that i cannot able to detect load currect zero crossing...as i am using CT its output is voltage which is in phase with current ,but this voltage is of millivolts .the circuit which i am using for voltage need PT 220/12V and it have three output terminals ground, positive, negative.it works well for voltage.but not work for load current,
this is my first step in the project where i am stucking for 2 months..i am very disappointed
