Lithium ion battery as Substitute for Lithium polymer battery

I have a Nexus 5 mobile phone which uses an internal lithium polymer battery
The battery is aged and I need to replace it.
However, I cannot buy any usable Nexus 5 battery (all are fake batterys selling on web)
The original battery consists of a pcb and the lithium polymer battery core
Neither can I buy a "lithium polymer battery core" to replace because lithium polymer battery core of similar size I can find has just half of the capacity.

I am thinking about getting a similar size lithium ion battery, remove the pcb and solder with the pcb of the original aged lithium polymer battery.
Does it work? is that dangerous to do so?
Lithium ion battery is 3.7V and lithium polymer battery is 3.8V
Thanks for advise

Does the original Li-Po battery cell have a "protection circuit" in it? Maybe it is on its pcb. The protection circuit can be used with a new Li-Ion cell that does not have one.
A Li-Po and a Li-Ion battery cell both AVERAGE 3.7V to 3.8V during a discharge because they charge to 4.20V and they are disconnected when the voltage has dropped to 3.2V so the AVERAGE voltage is 3.7V.

Note that some newer Lithium battery cells are LiFePO4 and they have lower voltages. Do not use it.

Most of the customer reviews for that fake Amazon battery say is VERY bad but a few people (the seller's brothers?) liked it.
