This charger bases on microchips MCP73831. Maximum power current for one chip is 500mA.
Those chips were chosen because of their quite easy to solder housing. The charger is typical MCP73831 application. The plate was made by thermotransfer method. Bodies for the chargers are made of broken ones bought on an auction.
The charger is supplied by the pulse power supply plug 5V 2A.
MCP73831 has two signalling diodes and when the FULL diode is lit, the charger has finished both phases CC and CV and the accumulator is 100% charged.
