Hi All,
I am not very familiar with the abstract generation flow, as I am more on the analog side and have to generate abstract for the analog as the digital is on top (for us its the opposite usually). I am going through documentation on the side, but thought I could ask some general question in terms of approach as it could help me figure this out earlier as our deadline is just in a few days.
I have figured out how to generate the abstracts for the two analog blocks that the digital sees and I am able to generate pins in the right location. The digital guys are having issues with the shape of the blocks, as one of the two blocks is non-rectangular, and since lef shapes have to be rectangular, the two shapes are overlapping, and this is giving their tool issues. Can you please give some direction as to how these issues are dealt with typically, are there some layers that I need to add? And if you have any other recommendations or even some refernces that you can point me to then that could really help.
