LED MATRIX 16x40

i need help to have tis project working. first of all i would like to say i am very new in this project.

i am using PIC 16f877a with 20Mhz crystal osc. and Hi-Tech C

i need to have display a scrolling message.

can anyone help me . i know how to display only single character from A to Z

but i am not able to have a scrolling sentence

sorry sir..actually i did not even draw my schematic out using any software.

i'll base on the source code to connect my leds

in my source code as i attach.. PORTB is GND

and PORTD is the output/vcc .

or this schematic can also be applied to my project..it is just that change the atmel into PIC16f877a
