What is the minimum brightness required for LED screen for use on a ship’s bridge so that the user does not lose their night vision ?

After my eyes adapt to total darkness, I find minimum brightness is adequate on my computer screens.

There is the Display control panel, which provides a wide range of adjustment. Brightness, contrast, RGB balance, etc. The adjustments can be tricky to figure out.

It is easiest to retain night vision if all lights are red.

The threshold for Mesotopic is what you are asking depends on many factors besides cd/m2 such as the wavelength, but is far below 1% of a typical 250 Cd/m2

A white background is the worst. Using the same algorithm as GPS units for car the UX theme could be changed at twilight.
