LCD current requirement

backlight lamp require 4mA and 1000v. The power is 4w.
So what is the input current of module. i use a module to power the lamp.
the input voltage is 5v.
does it require 0.8mA? or does it just require a little greater than 4mA?

Re: LCD current requirement

does it require 0.8mA?
for 5V it is 800mA ie. 0.8A

losses due to boosting the voltage (boost converter) to 1000V depends on what type of coverter u r using and it's efficiency. But it'll be more than 4W.
