Hi,

I use on my project the POWETRIP PC1602-H LCD, that has the driver ST7066U. I use the LCD in 4bit mode, and the LCD interface is realized with PIC18F2620.
I connected the LCD in the following manner:
pin3_VO-->GND
pin4_RS-->RA7
pin5_R/W-->GND
pin6_E-->RA6
pin15_A-->5V
pin16_K-->GND

The software works fine, but the problem is that I can barely see the characters on the LCD.
Could you help me please to fix this problem?

Thank you in advance.

Pin 3 will be usually connected to variable voltage or resistor, refer to the display datasheet.
