LC filter design

I select an inductor value and capacitor value using the equation F=1/2∏√LC. with f=50Hz. for smoothening inverter output.Switching frequency selected is 16KHz.IS it correct or not?Is F is the switching frequency 0r required output frequency? Can any one help please...........

LC filter design

Hi,
The F used here is the cut-off freq for the filter and since u r using it for the 16kHz, select the L and C based on that. Here 50Hz doesnt play a major role.
Your objective is to filter out your noise generated.
