How can I put a long equation at the bottom of page in two column document?(I'm using elsevier template)
regards

you mean the equation length longer than one column width?

either include a small font command before equation and restore normal font after equation,
or

make the eqn as image(eps) and refer it in your text.

elsevier class may have some commands for such long equation , i have not gone through.

(this my third time i reply to the question:all the previous ones have not seen the light.
any problem with the board server ?)

I would suggest to use \begin{split} " ....equation "\\
"rest of equation"
\end{split}

is "split" available in standard implementation or we have to download from texarchive?

I believe it is part of the ams package in latex. and works with Miktex.
