Kickback noise is critical in your circuit.
precamplifiew can't eliminate kickback noise, it can only reduce the noise. If the preamp gain is A, the kickback noise can be reduced by A times
I use a latched comparator which is figure8.5-7 in Allen's book chapter 8.5.
Connect two 10k resistors to the differential input pair and input a voltage difference between the input pair. While regenerating, The kickback noise makes input difference larger. It looks like good for stabling the comparator.
So I am confusing why kickback noise is critical to the comparator? or the kickback noise is harmful for the preceding circuit
