Hi
I need to connect a display to the ECU of a vehicle. I'm in privilage to configure the ECU also. I have a LIN and K-Line interface in the ECU. K-Line is used for the Tester interface. So I'm thinking to modify the LIN as a second K-Line to interface my ECU. CAN is also available but I'm not using it due to the cost factor. Can sombody explain what are the impact of connecting a tester on the ECU actions? Will a tester connection and a K-line connection will have the same impact( like when a K-Line connection is detected, will the ECU performs automatically all the process done for a tester?)?
Is there a way to resolve this?

Hope somebody could help me...
