[SOLVED] jumper resistor power handling

Whats the cause for assigning jumper resistors which are supposed to have no resistance with a power rating? They could simply impliment a solid conductive strip into the resistors.
 

Thick film jumper resistor have finite resistance (at least a few milliohms) and thus limited current capability. The nominal current rating of a specific jumper resistor must not necessary represent the exact rating, if you want to operate it at high current, cross check the feasible current yourself. If you want to carry high current with jumpers, think about using massive metal stripes that are available from some manufacturers.
