How does a JTAG Emulator work? I need to program FPGA (or Flash) via PCI bus using JTAG Emulator Application. Its a VC++ executable file (.exe)

The JTAG Emulator software utility provides a means to download code to the flash memory device that is used to load the FPGA over the PCI Bus rather than using the special cable and software available from Xilinx for connection to the JTAG port on the board.
