iskra energy meter rs485 problem

i have an electronics meter of iskra company model MT860s. But i dont know that have to test its rs485 port communication bcoz i turned it on but this give no data on rs485 port. Is there need any configuration pls illustrate it is urgent .

yes. Actually i have to interface it with meterview . I want to design a rs232 to rs485 converter so that i should do it

Generally u will not be able to test the RS485 signals directly. So you need RS232 to RS485 converter or USB to RS485 converter to test it.

after check your meter specs your meter support RS232,IR and RS485 , and if you prepare the setup the meter will not send data without you send the Reading command, and you should have IEC 62056-21 software to communicate with meter
