i was checking capacitors types and i noted that people always talk about the temperature coefficient however they never talk about voltage coefficient, is it negligible (for ceramic capacitors for instance)?

Capacitor

No, high dielectric constant ceramics have a considerable voltage coefficient. Consult manufacturers data sheets for details.

Capacitor

Thats an interesting question.Though I have not used discrete capacitors ever, I guess we need to consider the voltage coefficient of capacitors for them to behave linearly.Else we get in to the mess(challenge!) of Volterra series analysis .

Re: Capacitor

If analyzed carefully, capacitors are relatively complicated parts.
May be the attached paper can help a bit.
Regards.
