X-PCI (miniPCI?)

Someone ever heard of X-PCI interface?

Have a small Vortex86 board with a 64-pin socket wich supposed to be used to attach PCI periphals...

Re: X-PCI (miniPCI?)

PCI-X is an enhanced PCI that has different bus timing and speed (up to 133mhz vs 64/32 ) then standard PCI. If it is a PCI-X bus then you need a pci-x adaptor card instead of a regular pci card.

Re: X-PCI (miniPCI?)

Nothing to do with PCI-X which is used like in newer Macintosh models...

Found the pin description from www.vortex86.com and a X-PCI to PCI schematic...

Though strange it is missing the IDSEL signal...
