Dear group,
Is liunx still hot in embedded system?
One professor told me:
Use linux to training student, but use WINCE to develop products.
Free software means no one will take the responsibility for bugs.
So, it's not really free/cheap.

What's your opinion?

I think Linux is better than WIN*E. Noboby has the responsability for bugs but it is less than those I can found in Win*E. Micri$oft is not so reliable as you can think only because there is a responsable for the bugs.
I worked with WinC* and it is not bad, but Linux is better for me.
In linux is quite simple to find someone that can help you to solve a problem, but with win*e ...i'm not so sure! :)

I dont think as this professor.
However linux is free OS system, but many people & company help this OS.
The bugs of this OS is very less than other OS.
Also many large software are produced for this OS.
