keil ulink2

Hi,
I realyl need a USB based JTAG interface and I am really short of money right now so I can not purchase one.

I have a ULINK2 device at home and wonder if it is possible to use that with Xilinx?

https://www.keil.com/support/man/docs/ulink2/ulink2_hw_connectors.htm

I specially need to use it with EDK and Chipscope.

Really appreciate your help,

best regards,
/Farhad

i think it's impossible.because the Protocol is different。

ulink2 bin file does it work

Really?
Keil said on their web site they support JTAG protocole, so teoretically it should work.
But I think I have to conenct it and see how it works.

cheers,

FPGA JTAG is mainly to down the logic array into FPGA,and JTAG for ARM is mainly to down the bin file into FLASH.they all base on jtag ,but the detail is different.

Parallel Port <<==>>FPGA JTAG (a fpga jtag device which uses Parallel Port is very simple,so you can DIY it.)

ulink2 für cpld

Hi,
Thanks, I understand it, but with a simple definition file, any JTAG can access any JTAG enabled device. I just need to program the device in an easy and fast way.

But I am afraid this will not happen, so I have to live with my slow parallell cable or find the schematic of the Xilinx Parallell IV device that is up to 5MHz JTACG clock (rather than 200kHz on III and Digilent cables).

Cheers,
/Farhad
