Hi,

I need a 12V 8A transformer to drive a DC motor. Unfortunately the only transformers available are rated for 4A. I know it is not possible to directly connect two of these in parallel to achieve 8A. Is there an indirect way to get 8A from two 4A transformers? If yes can someone show me how or refer me to a link/circuit?

Thanks

Where did you get this? Two transformers of same type can be connected in parallel, because they share the load equally. It's often done with transformers in power distribution systems.
