interdigitization

1) Is interdigitization is one type of common centriod techque? Is interdigitization is 1D arrangement of common centriod method??

2) As per the link i have attached below, the author explained that multifingering is also one matching technique. Is there matching is concerned between finger of the big wide transistor or between two diffrent transistors which are fingered?

Interdigitation is a matching technique but you could still not have a common centroid arrangement. It is used to match 2 (or more) multifinger transistors.

If you have two transistors a (4 fingers) and B (4 fingers) you could arrange them as: ABABABAB and have both interdigitation and common centroid but if you arrange them as:
ABAB
ABAB
you have interdigitation but no common centroid. The latter can be achieved by:
ABAB
BABA

Re: Is interdigitization is one type of common centriod tech

Interdigitalization is usually used to improve matching in 1-axis, and common centroid in 2-axis space
