Hi

does anyone know how to test the transmitting wave and frequency for below transmitter circuit.
room1.gif (image)

I was thinking to connect pin3 of 555 to scope and supply 5v to that circuit.
can i do that way?
and how can i check the received signal using a scope.

thanks for the reply.

Connect you receiver diode to the +5V line via a 100K resistor and its other leg to the 0V line. Connect your scope across the diode and when the transmitter is running and emitting IR some of it should get into the reciever diode and cause a wave form to appear across it. You could try a mirror!!
