I am a final year student doing my final year project .
please how can i remotely(ir remote) control the speed(accel and decel) of a stepper motor running on a PIC 16F74 microcontroller. Please can anyone explain or give me an idea of how i can remotely trigger acceleraion and deceleration of a PIC controlled stepper motor system.

You can have a sequenze for acceleration, another for deacceleration and a third for complete stopp. Then speed adjustment IC can be a part of your (mobile?) unit. Just an idea :)

first of all do all control functions by buttons. then learn and aplly some IR decoder rutines and finally replace "buttons" by decoded commands from IR. Do IR receiving by interrupts.
