IOM2 is Infineons version of GCI interface (Motorola, AMD/Legerity). IOM2 is a communication channel between a microprocessor and its peripheral devices usually telecommunication IC's. IOM2 works on the same serial TDM bus with the data of the (telecom) card. It provides a symmetrical full duplex communications link containing data, control/programming and status channels. Read more about it on the datasheet of the ELIC from Infineon (Chapter 5.1.1)
