Hi,
what is the effect of connecting a resistor on the non inverting input of an amplifier and input on the inverting terminal. while using an inverting configuration?

One reason can be to balance the effects of bias currents on DC offsets. Another reason is to balance the impedance on both inputs to help reject common mode noise.
