interfacing PIC16F84 to PC's Serial Port

hi!

can someone tell me how i could store a value in a pic 16f84 and later send it to pc with serial port in vb6. also would i have to use a max232.

ya you have to use level converter MAXIM IC and what data you are sending?

Thanks for replying. Im getting an analog voltage in and converting it to digital. I want to store the digital number and send it at a later stage.

You can store your digital data in the PIC's EEPROM then, send it to the PC whenever you want.

Yes, you will have to use a MAX232 to convert the TTL level of the PIC to +-10 of the Serial port.
