Interfacing between Little and Big endian

Hi friends,
I have been to interview on last week.
They have asked me the question as
If your laptop is Little Endian and Microntroller is Big Endian, how to interface the communication between them.Can anybody solve this for me
 

As most interview questions, it's rather an entry point to show your knowledge and comprehension than asking for a decisive answer.

You need to specify the kind of communication and involved protocols. Many communication protocols are already prescribing an endianness, if it's different from the default used by one of the peers, the translation would be already implemented in the driver software and you don't need to care for.
