You can download a freeware program called "nlite" and use it to make a custom windows xp cd that will install on a laptop. You can even add any other drivers for any other hardware in your laptop.

You will need:
1) nlite
2) a windows xp cd
3) the sata drivers for your particular chipset in your laptop
4) any other drivers you want to install automatically

It is very easy to do.

Your PC probably would work with generic sata drivers for your chipset. Try to download this driver from the internet (Google is your best friend :)). If you have motherboard driver disc you should find this driver on it. When you find this driver create new XP instalation disc with nLite as was described in the post before yours.

EDIT:
Other (temporaly solution) could be that you find in BIOS option for SATA controller and change it into old legacy IDE mode. In this case you don't need any drivers. Later you can put SATA drivers when you install XP on your mashine and then change this option back in BIOS. Maybe you will need do some modifications in registry before this last step (changing back this option in BIOS).
