infrared tx rx

HI folks,

I need to use InfraRED Tx RX module is new project.
I do not have such experience.
Any any guys give some recommendation to me

1. module no. or part number ?
2. normally standby current of both Tx & Rx module ?
3. Any class ? (i.e range limit for each class) Just like bluetooth there is class 1 (100m) & class 2 (10m)

Thanks,
ricky

ir tx rx pdf

Some IR emmiters:

tsal6100 data sheet:

Code:

More here:

Code:

Narrow or wide half angle will depend on your application.

Detectors:pNA4602M cheapest For me anyway

Code:

Vijay TSOP serie:
Code:

Match the wavelength of your emmiter to your detector.

This should get you pointed in the right direction.

Good luck.

How to calculate the current consumption I turn IrLED (Tx, Rx)

Conditions:
1. Turn on for 24 hrs (both Tx, Rx)
2. Max. driving current = 60mA

Check the links I provided, all your questions will be answered ,read some of the datasheets. You can calculate total power consumption by EI were I is the average current in (for Tx this will be a pulsed square wave on a DC component). Or do what I do build the cct and measure with an scope to determine power in.
