I need to make an infrared distance meter, is there anyone who can help me with schematics, document, book or something useful?
I will be grateful
 

in order to get far distance you have to use optical system, in my project i have only able to get 3 meter distance.
 

but it's not far distance, the range is 10cm to 50 cm with 1cm exactness
would you explain me about your project?
