Hello,

can anyeone help me out by providing information on how to convert an Analog based servo card to DSP based, i am pretty much a novice in DSP.
How can u implement low pass filters and notch filters in DSP based processor, and how can the compensator be deisgned in DSP. Also is there any suggestion about which is a preferable DSP processor in this respect, i.e. on basis of ease of use and practicality.

Regards,

Buy the following book :-

"The DSP Handbook: Algorithms, Applications and Design Techniques"
by Andrew Bateman (Author), Iain Paterson-Stephens (Author) (Hardcover)

Read and understand!

Buy an evaluation board from TI or Motorola to experiment with.

Motorola have a nice eval board for their new 56F8300 series at around $80 which includes a 16K limited version of the Metrowerks compiler. At this price it's a bargain.
