I think to know what you are talking about. ECS was developed by an austrian company called "enstore energy" (they got renamed some years ago to something like "green tech"). It's working with pulses generated by an ASIC, which is usually located either on the "ECS heartprint" or the "ECS-II" chip itself.
Usually you will receive information about how to use this chips when you buy them. Am I still in sync. with your request or are you expecting something completely different? Please let me know...
