Hi all, I wanna know more about binominal formula, can someone provide me some tutorials about it, especially I am not familiar with this kind of expression: (), thank you for your time and help!

Re: Binominal Formula

i am not sure what do u mean by "binominal formula" but i guess u mean binomial distribution

BREIFLY:

if u have a simple bernouli experiment that has only 2 outcomes ( ex success & fail , on &off,...). one outcome (for ex success) with probability p and the other with prob (1-p)

if u repeated the above experiment n times (trials)

Looking at X which is the number of successes (outcomes with prob p) in the n trials

The random variable X follows a binomial distribution and..

P(X=k) = nCk • (p)^k • (1-p)^(n-k)

where nCk= n!/[(n-k)! • k!]

The above formula P(X=k) is the probability that from the n times, u get success (on,...) K times

if u wanna a tutorial, google "binomial distribution" and u'll find tons
