Hi All

I am designing industrial standard Analog Input module with a wide range of inputs as +/-10V, +/-5V, 0-10V, 0-5V. My ADC chip input range is 0-2.5V.
Could you please share if there is any Op-Amp reference design which converts +/-10V, +/-5V, 0-10V, 0-5V ranges to 0-2.5V for ADC inputs?
Your help is highly appreciated.

Hi,

Why not just design +/-10 V range? It includes all other. No additional switch, no additional software, no user setup .. the easiest solution for both: the designer and the user.

Customer requirement is with multiple input ranges. So providing switch is OK for them whenever they need to change the ranges. Could you please share the reference design if you have any?

0-10V to 0-2.5, easiest way is to use voltage divider with buffer
+-10 to 0-2.5V, search information about differential to singel ended
or buy "black box" Universal Signal Conditioning Module

Hi,

If you want to select the range, then a differential amplifier with some (analog) swiches to select the resistors is a solution.
