Hi. Not knowing if any here have seen an industrial machine, I will assume not.
1st, the toroid is held by 3 softrubber rollers, which rotate the toroid as it is being wound.
2nd, there is a split bobbin, with a deep groove in the outside, and joins with a point and V. It too, is supported by 3 harder rollers.
To start, you wind wire onto the bobbin while it is positioned through the core.
When loaded with the appropriate amount of wire, the end of the wire is held tightly against the top of the core, then the bobbin is rotated so that the wire peels off to one side. As the bobbin rotates, so does the core.
I hope that makes sense, it is 40 years since I used one !
