I have made an inductor using FT37-43 core.. now can I use simple LCR meter and connect it on two ends of wire and calculate Inductance???

You calculate the expectable inductance based on known core AL value and number of windings. Or measure it with your LCR meter, presumed it's workiing for the inductance range. Finally you can compare calculated and measured value. Depending on the quality of the LCR meter, you'll decide to believe one or the other...

thanx alot.. i want to know one more thing... what if we know nothing about the core (just out of a junk box) now how can we determine what core it is whether FT37-43 or something else.... assume i don't have an inductance meter to....

Measuring resonance frequency of a LC resonant circuit is most promising, using a known capacitor.
