Hi there, I know that it is possible to increase the speed of a GPIO of a microcontroller, say ARM7, by using some parallel to serial algorithms (in a CPLD) of a microcontroller.
Is there any other simpler way to do the same job? and is there any relevant source for this algorithm?

Thx in advance

There are several dicrete components on the market that perform SERDES operations. The link below is of a typical LVDS transmitter receiver. It may not be what you're looking for, but it's a good starting point.

Good luck!
