Hello everyone.
I am trying to find a transistor model with the file extension .cir to be imported in ADS.
I couldn't file such files and I have no experience in writing it by myself. any suggestions?

Hi,

which transistor? Hav you found a spice model of the transistor of interest with an other file extension? They usually come in a varity of file extensions e.g. .txt, .lib, .cir, .mod .... . But if you are opening them wit a text editor, they should have alll the same structure (if not encrypted). So you are free to change the file extension.

Hi
Regarding the type of the transistor I want to find a MOSFET (no detailed specifications) but I couldn't find any even with different extensions

Hi,

so, here are some Spice models fore some abritray chosen types and manufacturers.

https://www.nexperia.com/products/mosfets/small-signal-mosfets/PMCB60XN.html
https://www.vishay.com/mosfets/list/product-91192/tab/designtools-ppg/
https://toshiba.semicon-storage.com/ap-en/semiconductor/product/mosfets/detail.SSM3J118TU.html [Tab other]

In general, define your requirements e.g.
  • N or P type
  • max. Drain to Source Voltage
  • maximum drain current
  • .....

Go to a supplier website e.g. Mouser, Digikey, ..... and use the filters to show only the MOSFETs which meet your demands. Choose one -> check the product page of the chosen MOSFET at the manufacturer's website -> have a look if they are providing a Spice model (usually listetd in Design Tools or Support).

Without any further indormation no one will be able to help you.
