Why have global chips become scarce?

Nowdays, the world is in a "chip shortage" situation. The shortage of chips has seriously affected many fields such as PCs, mobile phones, and automobiles.

Many manufacturers have been forced to reduce or even stop production. Even PlayStation game consoles are "hard to find". , there is a common reason behind this: a shortage of chips.

Chip shortages in China intensified since2021, showing an uncontrollable momentum: In April 2021, the Bureau of Statistics announced that the prices of raw materials rose significantly in the first quarter; In July 2021, 23 Chinese companies were included in the "entity list" by the United States, triggering "panic stocking", and domestic chip supply worsened!

There are several reasons for the shortage of chips in China:

1. The outbreak of the global COVID-19 epidemic has caused many chip manufacturers to stop working.

2. Affected by the epidemic, telecommuting has emerged all over the country, the demand for electronic products has increased, and the supply of chips is in short supply.

3. Some car companies monopolize raw materials.

Let me know if you think differently.
