what is importance of SiO2 layer in mos transistor and what is its significance in comparison to JFET
 

Hi jitesh,

SiO2 adds many advantages to MOS like high ip impedance, fanout, saving in power..........
 

SiO2 acts as the dielectric for the MOS capacitor.MOS is a voltage control device.So the SiO2 actually supports the mechanism for field-effect n-type layer induction.
