Hi
I'm using a pcb mount ignition transformer in my project, i have designed the circuit and it works properly
I need to have a measurement of the output voltage of the transformer.the datasheet claims output voltage of at least 12kV and I have to check it

is there any method for measuring this voltage? any specific measurement device or so

thanks in advance

Hi,

a scope with a HV probe?

Klaus

thnaks Klaus
unfortunately I don't have HV probe ,
I am wondering if i can use capacitive voltage divider and a low voltage probe but I'm not sure

you're right , I found someone do that with 30 resistors in series
I was worried about voltage rating of my resistors , but I had some 1nF 2kv capacitors so I preferred to use series capacitors, 30 of them ! and it worked

thank you Klaus
