IEEE Floating Point Square Root Algorithm

Hi All

Can any one help me out with this? I've been looking for an algorithm on the web for days now and I don't see anything the directly addresses my question. So do any of know of an algorithm for performing square root on an IEEE floating point number (single precision)?

Square root algorithms are generally iterative, as most numerical methods for most higher mathematic functions.
You can also refer to software float libraries for microprocessor.
