Hi

I am doing some sort of Reverse Engineering and I need to identify an IC and its purpose on the Board.

Micro is Mitsubishi Electric M16C/62 Group 80 pin Version. Sorry I cannot give much information on the Board.

Here I came across an 8 pin IC with a body Marking C56 (first Line) 417 (second Line)
Pin 8 is connected to 5V
Pin 5 & 6 to Gnd
Pin 7 is NC
Pin 2 3 4 is connected to Micro GPIO Pins
Pin 1 is connected to Micro with Pulled down to Ground via 10k ohm.

Could you please help me in Identifying the Manufacturer of IC and its functionality.

I am doubting is it a sensor ? Waiting for your replies. Let me know if you need more information.
