something many of us do is walking.we walk here and there, meters and meters.I was actually thinkin to use this sort of wasted mechanical energy into electic energy.my basic concept would be on the theories of physics,"relative motion".
developin a charge via relative motion could be an good idea...i m surfin more..lets c wht happens

thnx

Re: charging shoes!!!

It's a good Idea & practically it's possible by using piezo electric crystals.....

charging shoes!!!

Hi,
Yes, their exists some scripts - researches on these subjects: called "energy harvesting".
One way uses electro mechanical transforming(generator) up to ~mWs...
Other way use different piezo converters, up to ~10uWs! :-(
Its not much, but for some sensing-telemetry supplying not bad; in all cases strong in research phase...
K.
Some interesting, a little similar, idea in these subject:

Re: charging shoes!!!

You could generate even more energy by putting a generator on an exercise bycicle. I have heard stories of parents limiting their children's television viewing by powering the set from such a bicycle. The children had to peddle it while watching.

but piezo electric cyrstals cost a fortune....!impractical.......!
