our group is thinking about making shoes for blind people which can inform about anything that can make them fall. we are planning to use IR sensors to sense near by objects n' also some mechanism 2 note the elevation for ground, can anyone help us regarding which micro controller/processor we should use. and also other suggestions. any help will be appreciated.

You can use AT89S52, along this using APR9600 voice IC. Store the voice message .When your sensor found any obstacle then it will give a voice message...
