Does someone has an exemplary layout or idea for a compact mute switch?
One state low insertion loss and the other one for example a 30 dB rejection.

Best regards

Re: Mute Switch

The switch itself, the control circuit or both?
For switch you can use a MOSFET or better an analog switch like 4066. If the mute is used in an FM receiver it can be switched off when the input signal contains a high frequency hiss - higher than 15kHz for mono, or 50kHz for stereo. Use filter and detector for this. If the FM receiver has a PLL demodulator, the switch can be controlled by the lock detector of the PLL.
