I'D like to clone the GAMEBOY ADVANCE graphic ENGINE!

I have this IDEA to USE the GAMEBOY ADVANCE graphic engine in a HANDHELD for MEDICAL purposes ... But i need to clone the HARDWARE graphical ENGINE .. Anybody knows this MACHINE to give some DETAIL ..where to begin ... I think that's a great PROJECT!
 

I am afraid you can not get what you want here.
Most people are talking about 2nd development on GBA instead of the HARDWARE engine.
It's as hard as to clone a GFORCE or ATI one.
 

There is an open core called manticore is a good start.
i only need to add the sprites hardware !
