2) i have 2 partiona one is 8.4 gb and and other is 37 gb.(mandriva did it by defoult)

so my questions are:
1) i have one DVD that is conatin only 3 cds in it and it is IC5141 and i have another dvd thats conatins

2) so for first time i installed just IC5033 and i get one error:

You must have write permissions to install directory
and all its subdirectories
and atleast 10 MB available disk
space in install directory.

i saw some posts about the version of the TAR
what about i change the tar version to 1.3?

if u think is ok ..do u know how can i do it?imean uninstall and install the older one..
the problem is i didnt find the older rpm version than 1.6 for mandriva..:(

cheers

You may need modify the install shell file to omit the error of the writing permission. I had a similar experience. It is not a fan job to install EDA tool in the Linux.
